Before we get into today’s piece, a quick note.
Before we get into today’s piece, a quick note.
I’m intentionally pressing pause on Solo(ish) on LinkedIn for now.
This isn’t a goodbye, and it’s not a change in who I’m writing for. It’s a consolidation of how I share my ideas, and part of a broader evolution of Solo(ish.
As I head into 2026, I’m bringing my thinking together in one place rather than splitting it across parallel newsletters. Same perspective. Same audience. One clearer home.
What’s staying the same
Solo(ish) has always explored the human side of working independently. Focus, decision fatigue, self-management, and the quieter moments of running a business.
That lens isn’t going away.
Solo(ish) itself is evolving. There’s a book taking shape, a podcast in development, and more resources on the way for solopreneurs and self-employed folks who want clarity, confidence, and community.
Those reflective ideas continue to shape my work, and for now, they live alongside more direct brand, marketing, and growth strategies in The Creative Brief. Not instead of them. With them.
If you’ve found value in Solo(ish), you’re not being asked to switch gears. You’re simply being invited into a slightly broader conversation.
Why this shift
Rather than maintaining two separate content streams with overlapping themes, I’m simplifying.
One place to publish. More intentional writing. Clearer signal, less noise.
The goal is to deliver better thinking, not more content.
Today’s piece and what to expect
Rather than republishing the full content here, I’m sharing today’s edition of The Creative Brief directly.
It’s a good example of what this consolidation looks like in practice. Strategic thinking grounded in real human experience.

The Solo(ish) idea isn’t disappearing. It’s evolving and folding into a more complete picture.
For now, The Creative Brief is the home base for these ideas while the next chapter of Solo(ish) takes shape.
Thanks for being here.
Andy
